The answer

If the menstrual period and the intervening days of purity do not exceed fifteen days, then all blood seen during this period is considered menses.

Scholars have two opinions regarding the purity that interrupts menstruation:

1. The first opinion (the closer and easier one): This considers the purity to be a valid state of ritual purity (tahara). (ritual bath), prayer, and fasting become obligatory, and it is permissible for the husband to have intercourse. If the bleeding returns, she must abstain from prayer until a sign of purity appears (dryness or white discharge).

2. The second opinion: This considers all days to be menstruation.

It is permissible to adopt either of the two opinions.
