Is it permissible to complete training and receive a salary at a company that deals with futures contracts, given that completing the training is essential for obtaining a university degree?

It is forbidden to deal in futures contracts, options contracts, and derivatives because the subject of the contract is not money, nor a usufruct, nor a financial right that can be compensated for. Additionally, they involve uncertainty (gharar) and gambling.

It is permissible to study forbidden contracts under two conditions: that the student possesses religious knowledge enabling them to distinguish between what is lawful and what is unlawful, and that they believe in the prohibition of what Allah has forbidden.

If the training is limited to theoretical study of these contracts without participating in their execution, then it is permissible and the salary is lawful. However, if the training involves participating in concluding or implementing these forbidden contracts, then it is a forbidden act and the salary received for it is unlawful, because it constitutes aiding in sin.
