How is the inheritance legally divided for a person who passed away and left behind a wife and four daughters, with no male children? Do his brothers and father have the right to a share in the ownership of the house?

The deceased's inheritance is divided among the heirs as follows:

- The wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of lineal descendants (daughters), as Allah Almighty says: ﴿But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one-eighth of what you leave﴾ [An-Nisa': 12].

- The daughters receive two-thirds due to their multiple number, as Allah Almighty says: ﴿Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females. But if there are [only] daughters, two or more, for them is two-thirds of what he left.﴾ [An-Nisa': 11].

- The father receives one-sixth as a fixed share (fard), and the remainder by residuary right ('asabah). The brothers are excluded by the father. Thus, the total share for the father is five parts, and the brothers receive nothing due to being excluded by the father.
