What is the ruling on praying Asr on an airplane as Maghrib approaches, and is it permissible for my wife to pray in an exposed area?

If the plane departs half an hour after the entry of Asr time, then pray Asr in one of the airport lounges before boarding. It is better for a woman to pray in a place where men cannot see her. If you are unable to pray before boarding the plane, then pray Asr, Maghrib, and Isha on the plane. If you know that you will arrive before the time for Isha expires, then delay Maghrib and pray it with Isha as a delayed combination (jama' ta'kheer). Whoever prays on the plane must perform the pillars of prayer to the best of their ability: they should pray standing, bow, and prostrate. If they cannot prostrate on the ground, then they should gesture.
