Is it permissible to recite the morning and evening adhkar (remembrances of God) while lying down or on the bed, or is it obligatory to face the qiblah and raise the hands as in du'a (supplication), especially for those adhkar that are in the form of a du'a, such as "O Allah, grant me well-being in my body, O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing, O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight"?

It is permissible to recite the morning and evening adhkar (remembrances) in any posture, but it is preferable to be seated, facing the Qiblah, and in a humble state. If they are recited in other postures, it is permissible and not disliked. The proof for this is the Almighty's saying: "those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides." As for raising the hands during these adhkar, there is no evidence for its legality except in adhkar that include supplication (du'a).
