If no such person exists, then preference should be given to the one whose creditors are demanding payment. The mother is the most deserving person of her daughter-in-law's kindness and good treatment. Her maintenance is obligatory upon her sons and daughters if she is poor. The wife is not obligated to spend on her husband.
