The one in greatest need and most urgent necessity should be given priority in debt repayment. If no such person exists, then preference should be given to the one whose creditors are demanding payment. The mother is the most deserving person of her daughter-in-law's kindness and good treatment. Her maintenance is obligatory upon her sons and daughters if she is poor. The wife is not obligated to spend on her husband.
