Is the lack of intention to commit a sin after the oath's duration expires a means to abandon it and return to it again?

The immediate duty is to abandon the sin at once and to offer sincere repentance, resolving never to return to it, as Allah Almighty says: "And turn to Allah all of you, O believers, that you might succeed" and "And whoever does not repent – then it is those who are the wrongdoers." If you have broken your oath by committing the sin, then you must repent to Allah and expiate your oath by feeding ten poor persons, or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If you are unable to do so, then fast for three days, as Allah Almighty says: "Its expiation is the feeding of ten poor persons from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever finds not [the means to do so] – then a fast of three days."
