To the wife of the deceased who left behind a wife, three daughters, and three sons, and no other heirs: she receives one-eighth (1/8) due to the presence of lineal descendants, as Allah Almighty says: "But if you have a child, then for them is one eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt." The remainder goes to the sons and daughters by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females, as Allah Almighty says: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The inheritance is divided into 72 shares: the wife receives 9 shares, each son receives 14 shares, and each daughter receives 7 shares. All that the deceased left behind, including apartments, residences, and leased land, is divided among the heirs. If the deceased was a lessee of the land, the heirs step into his shoes until the lease term expires. It is advisable to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia courts, as there are matters that take precedence over the heirs' rights, such as bequests, debts, and rights, and to safeguard the interests of both the living and the deceased.
