Is it permissible for the husband's sons to unveil before the sons of the second wife and her brothers, given that each of his wives nursed the other's child?
If a girl or a child nurses from a woman, this woman becomes her mother or a sister to her children through fosterage, and her husband becomes their father, and her sisters become their maternal aunts. Fosterage prohibits what lineage prohibits, and those prohibited by fosterage become like their counterparts by kinship. It is stipulated that the fosterage consists of five or more satisfying sucklings and that it occurs within the first two years (of life), before weaning. Consequently, the girl who nurses from a man's wife becomes a sister to all the wife's children through fosterage, and also to the husband's children. As for the husband's older children who did not nurse from the second wife, it is not permissible for them to uncover in front of the second wife's children from her first husband, nor her brothers, due to the absence of a prohibitory relationship between them.
