Is black the color of women's clothing, and did the Messenger say that it is the covering of the women of Paradise when he stated, "Indeed, they are black like ravens"?

A woman is not obliged to wear a specific color. She may wear whatever covers her 'awrah (intimate parts) and fulfills the conditions of Islamic dress. There is no hadith indicating that black is the color of the clothing of the women of Paradise.
