The answer

The husband's ill-treatment, his neglect of his wife and family by spending his time in cafes, and his saying: "You women tie marital happiness to the bed," is considered ill-conduct and contrary to both Sharia and human nature. However, what is more serious is his abandonment of prayer.

The wife must advise her husband gently and kindly. It is preferable that the advisor be someone he respects.

If he does not respond to advice and continues in his state, it is best for her to separate from him through divorce or khul'.

It is not permissible to accuse the husband's mother of sorcery without proof. If her sorcery is proven, then she must be advised gently, and her righteous treatment does not cease to be obligatory.

The wife is not obligated to maintain ties with her husband's family or obey her husband in commanding her to do so, unless she is able to fulfill his wish in that regard.

It is the wife's right to have an independent and suitable dwelling, and it is not a condition that it be far from the husband's family.
