A woman must cover her face from non-mahram men. If she needs to work and cannot find permissible employment that does not require her to remove her niqab, except for work where she is compelled to uncover her face, then it is permissible for her due to necessity. As for photographic imaging of animate beings, it is forbidden, as are drawing and engraving. Therefore, it is not permissible to work on a design that includes drawings of animate beings or to alter a real photograph.
