What is the solution for a wife whose husband traveled away from her a month after their marriage and refuses to take her with him due to the unavailability of suitable housing, and he refuses to work in her country despite the availability of opportunities, while she wishes for stability and he accuses her of discontent and impatience?

If a wife is harmed by her husband's absence, he should not be absent for more than six months, based on the ruling of Umar, may Allah be pleased with him. The jurists have stipulated that he must return after this period if the wife requests it. If he exceeds this period without her consent, he must either move her to his location or remain in her country to prevent harm to her, as Allah Almighty says: "And live with them in kindness" (Quran 4:19) and "and do not harm them" (Quran 2:231). If he does not do so, he must separate from her kindly if she wishes it. However, it is advisable to be patient, given the prevalence of expatriation in this era and the frequent difficulty for husbands to move their families.
