What is the ruling on the sexual joking prevalent among young people, and what are the most eloquent words to dissuade peers from such practices?

Obscene language is reprehensible and not characteristic of believers. Sexual joking and vulgar words are, at the very least, disliked, and may even reach the level of being forbidden. A person's logic will only be sound when they realize that they will be held accountable for every word they utter, and when they remember that modesty is a branch of faith. Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, says: "Not a word does he utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to note it down)." And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Mu'adh: "Are people thrown into Hell on their faces (or on their noses) except on account of the harvests of their tongues?" And when the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all the limbs say to the tongue: "Fear Allah concerning us, for we are with you; if you are straight, we are straight, and if you are crooked, we are crooked." It is incumbent upon the accountable person to guard their tongue from all speech except that in which there is clear benefit, for safety is unmatched. Our righteous predecessors were extremely cautious of the tongue.
