What deeds qualify a married woman for the highest ranks of Paradise? And is a woman who dies during childbirth considered a martyr?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Allah Almighty made entry into Paradise contingent upon faith and righteous deeds, and promised Paradise to the believers. Whoever meets Allah without associating anything with Him will enter it. This promise includes both men and women, married and unmarried. For a married woman, her obedience to her husband in what is right is part of her worship of her Lord. If she prays her five prayers, fasts her month, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she will enter Paradise from whichever of its gates she wishes. And if she dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Paradise. A woman who dies in childbirth is considered a martyr.
