What are the consequences for me as a result of breaking my covenant with Allah Almighty regarding the repeated act of masturbation after covenanting with Him to abandon it?

A Muslim is not in need of a covenant or a vow to abandon what Allah has forbidden, for knowledge of the prohibition is sufficient. And whoever makes a covenant with Allah or vows not to commit a forbidden act, then commits it, has committed the sin of the forbidden act, and the sin of breaking the covenant and reneging on the oath and vow, for Allah Almighty says: ﴿And fulfill the covenant; indeed, the covenant will be questioned about.﴾ And whoever breaks his covenant must offer expiation for an oath: feeding ten poor persons or clothing them, or freeing a slave. If he is unable, then fasting for three days.
