What is entailed for me after I made a covenant with Allah several times to abandon masturbation, then returned to it, knowing that I intended for non-compliance with the covenant to be disbelief, and I feared being punished with hypocrisy?

Breaking a covenant with Allah and the habit of masturbation are two forbidden acts that necessitate repentance. A Muslim is required to offer an expiation for breaking an oath (kaffarat yamin) due to the breach of covenant. This breach is not an act of disbelief (kufr). Rather, one must remain steadfast in sincere repentance, strive against their own desires, distance themselves from trials and temptations (fitan), frequently engage in supplication (du'a) and remembrance (dhikr), and associate with the righteous.
