Is the husband's statement: "By Allah, I would divorce her now" considered a promise of divorce or an actual divorce?

The husband's statement, "By Allah, I would divorce her now," is neither an instantaneous divorce nor a conditional one. Rather, it is a threat of divorce if it is proven that the wife committed a certain act. Therefore, divorce does not occur with this phrase. A promise of divorce does not take effect, and there is no obligation or even recommendation to fulfill it. If the husband would divorce upon learning of the act, then do not inform him of it. It is permissible for you to use dissimulation (tawriyah) and insinuation in your speech.
