How can one get rid of feelings of inclination towards a foreign man, and is one held accountable for such feelings in Islamic law?

It is by the grace and mercy of Allah that He forgives a person for what they merely think, so long as they do not act upon it or speak of it. Thus, you are not held accountable for feeling inclined towards this man or seeing him in a dream. However, do not indulge in these thoughts or act upon them. You can overcome this feeling by reciting the Quran, occupying your free time, seeking refuge from Satan, strengthening your emotional bond with your husband, and keeping the secret of this feeling to yourself.
