Is the book "Al-Fajr Al-Munir" by Al-Fakihani (d. 734 AH) reliable?

The author of the book "Al-Fajr Al-Munir fi Al-Salat 'ala Al-Bashir An-Nadhir" is Umar ibn Ali Al-Fakihani.

Among the most prominent criticisms of the book are: 1. Exaggeration regarding the Prophet, peace be upon him: He claimed that the Prophet was created from the light of Allah, and that the prophets sought intercession through him to achieve their desires, despite the Quran clarifying that the prophets sought intercession through Allah's names and attributes. 2. Permissibility of seeking aid from the Prophet, peace be upon him, after his death: The author dedicated chapters to seeking aid from him in fulfilling needs and dispelling distress, which is considered an act of worship directed to other than Allah and a major shirk (definition) (polytheism) that expels its doer from Islam. 3. Inclusion of weak and fabricated hadiths: The book contained hadiths that have no basis regarding the virtues of sending blessings upon the Prophet and visiting his grave, such as "There is no prayer for one who does not send blessings upon me" and "Whoever performs Hajj and does not visit me has indeed shunned me."

The book contains innovations that lead to shirk, some of which reach major shirk, and it includes fabricated hadiths and false stories.

Therefore, it is not permissible for someone who does not possess religious knowledge enabling them to distinguish between truth and falsehood to read this book, as they might be influenced by the falsehoods within it. The book "Jalaa' Al-Afham fi Fadl Al-Salat wa Al-Salam 'ala Khayr Al-Anam" by Ibn Al-Qayyim is recommended for those who desire a comprehensive book on sending blessings upon the Prophet, peace be upon him.
