How can the narration which states that a man in Paradise will marry two of the Houris be reconciled with the Hadith which indicates that whoever suppresses his anger will be given the choice of whichever of the Houris he desires?

This is because the first hadith is general for all the inhabitants of Paradise, while the second hadith is specific to those who suppress their anger. Thus, such a person will be given the choice of Houris in addition to what every inhabitant of Paradise will receive.
