What is the ruling on establishing two Friday prayers in two adjacent places at the same time, or establishing them in one place but at two different times, due to conflicting lecture schedules?

The basic principle is that Muslims should gather in one mosque to perform the Friday prayer. It is not permissible to have multiple Friday prayers unless there is a necessity (such as distance, a small mosque, or fear of sedition). If such a necessity exists for establishing another Friday prayer at the university, then there is no objection. Otherwise, attendance at the first mosque is obligatory. The time for Friday prayer begins from the sun's zenith (zawāl) until the end of the Dhuhr prayer time, according to the majority of scholars. It is permissible to delay it beyond the time of zawāl if circumstances necessitate it, as long as there is no fear of the Asr time entering before the prayer is completed. Some scholars are of the opinion that the time for Friday prayer begins when the supererogatory (nafila) prayer becomes permissible, at the elevation of the sun by the height of a spear.
