What is the ruling on holding Friday prayer twice in two adjacent areas?

There is no objection to dividing the Friday prayer into two parts: one group praying at the beginning of the time, and another group praying in the middle of the time. This is permissible if it is not possible for them to gather at one time due to lectures and classes that some of them attend. The time for the Friday prayer extends until the beginning of the 'Asr prayer time. The general principle is that the Friday prayer should not be performed multiple times in nearby towns or cities, due to the wisdom of the community gathering together. However, since everyone is a student at the same university, their gathering in classrooms fulfills the purpose of gathering. Therefore, there is no impediment to them performing the Friday prayer separately if their gathering would lead to some of them missing the prayer and prioritizing lectures over prayer. If everyone can delay the Friday prayer until one time, that is preferable; otherwise, it is permissible to perform it twice.
