Is it permissible to deliver two separate sermons on two separate Friday prayers, and then gather for a single prayer later?

The Friday sermon is an act of worship whose rulings are derived from the Sacred Law. It was learned from the actions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions that Friday prayer comprises a sermon and a prayer. Neither a Friday prayer with two sermons nor two sermons with one prayer was ever performed by the Salaf. Their abstention from doing so indicates its impermissibility.
