There is no basis for a woman to wear the upon hearing the . Doing so as an act of religiosity is an innovation (bid'ah). Rather, she should listen to the adhan and repeat after the mu'adhin in her current state. Similarly, when hearing or reciting the Qur’an, she is not required to wear the hijab.
