How can one preserve oneself from the forbidden and from returning to sins after being guided, especially regarding sexual desires?

The greatest tribulation is for a person to know the truth and then deviate from the right path. One must strive against the self to remain steadfast in righteousness and supplicate to Allah to avert evil, protect from the Devil's schemes, and guard against the evil-commanding self. Fill your time with what benefits you in your religious and worldly affairs, and associate with people of goodness and righteousness. To confront the trial of women, take the initiative to marry if you are able; otherwise, seek help through fasting, and do not expose yourself to situations of temptation through looking or unlawful speech.
