Is it permissible for an employee, whose employer provides him with a travel ticket within the Kingdom, to request a ticket to the furthest region from his workplace in order to receive its value in cash and benefit from it for himself and his family without actually traveling?

The eligibility for a ticket depends on the granting entity. If it grants a specific amount for tickets and ownership of it to the employee, then he may dispose of it as he wishes. However, if the employer gives what is actually spent for transportation, it is not permissible to resort to deception to take the ticket price or to lie to obtain greater compensation, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." One must ascertain from the employer or the terms of the contract.
