Is it obligatory to prioritize the desire of a mother who refuses her daughter's marriage to a Syrian man who is married and has children, based on incorrect information about his salary, knowing that the father approves and the daughter does not wish to marry anyone else?

Interaction between young men and women is a gateway to evil and corruption, and one must be wary of it. If a suitable man proposes to a woman and she accepts him, her father has no right to prevent her from marrying him. The mother, by virtue of her position, has no guardianship over marriage, even more so. The young woman should consult with wise people, seek Allah's guidance (istikharah), and then try to persuade her mother to accept the suitor through the mediation of relatives. If the mother insists on refusing without an acceptable justification, then the young woman is not at fault for disagreeing with her, while continuing to be dutiful and benevolent towards her.
