What is the ruling on purchasing a car for 35,000 dirhams from a financing company that requests 40,000 dirhams in installments?

If the company buys the car and sells it to you in installments with an increase in price, this is permissible. As for warding off envy (hasad), this is done by regularly reciting the morning and evening adhkar, and by reciting Surat al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Surat al-Falaq and Surat an-Nas) three times. Whoever recites them in the morning and in the evening, they will suffice him against everything. And "Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak,' and 'Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind'—mankind has not sought refuge with anything better than them." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to seek refuge with them and abandoned all others after their revelation.
