Who said the verse, "And when Death sinks its talons in… you will find every amulet to be of no avail," and does he mean the amulet forbidden by Sharia?

A tamimah (amulet) is anything hung up to ward off an expected evil or to remove one that has occurred. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade it, saying: "Indeed, ruqyah (incantations), tama'im (amulets), and tiwalah (charms) are shirk (polytheism)." The ruqyah referred to in this hadith is that which involves shirk. The aforementioned verse belongs to Abu Dhu'ayb al-Hudhali from his elegy mourning his sons, and he likely recited it before embracing Islam.
