Is a pregnant woman who has started to bleed intermittently and lightly due to a miscarriage of an empty gestational sac required to pray, knowing that she finds blood at the time of each prayer?

The preponderant view is that a pregnant woman does not menstruate, and any blood she sees is vitiated blood (istihadah), which does not prevent her from praying or fasting. She must cleanse the area and perform ablution for prayer. If the discharge continues, she should perform ablution for each prayer after its time has begun and pray both the obligatory and supererogatory prayers with that ablution.
