What is the ruling on reciting the Quran in front of children with a melodious voice?

Enhancing one's voice with the Quran is religiously encouraged. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, urged this, saying: "He is not of us who does not chant the Quran beautifully" and "Adorn the Quran with your voices." A distinction should be made between the desired voice enhancement and chanting with melodies, which is prohibited. There is no difference in this regard whether the recitation is in front of children or others.
