What is the legal ruling on working in a cafe when no other work is available?

It is permissible to work in a coffee shop if the exposure there is limited to news, religious sciences, and beneficial human knowledge, and if it is free from the mixing of men and women. However, if it is otherwise, then it is not permissible to work there, as it falls under cooperation in sin. As for restaurants, the general rule is that working in them is permissible, unless they promote something forbidden.
