The question

What is the ruling on savings deducted from the salaries of employees in international organizations such as "UNRWA," which are invested in interest-bearing usurious banks, and what is the correct way to deal with the usurious profits that are estimated and set aside, and is it permissible to use them to pay government taxes?

The answer

If the deduction is imposed on every employee and you have no say in it, then there is no sin upon you. However, if the matter depends on your consent, then it is not permissible to agree to place your money in usurious banks. By your consent, you would have authorized usury and fallen into sin. The obligation now is to dispose of the usurious interest by spending it on charitable causes for the poor and needy. It is not permissible to benefit from it by using it to pay taxes or for any other purpose that brings you personal benefit.
