What is the punishment for a Muslim who commits adultery, steals, and gambles, and what should he do if he wishes to be punished for his sins?

Adultery and theft are among the major sins, and those who commit them are threatened with severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter. The punishment for an unmarried fornicator is one hundred lashes, while for a married fornicator it is stoning to death. As for the punishment for theft, it is the cutting off of the right hand. Those who commit these sins must repent and seek forgiveness. Repentance between a person and their Lord is better than confessing the sin to have the punishment enacted. It is preferable for someone who has fallen into such sins to repent, conceal themselves, and not mention it to anyone.
