Which of the four Imams is the true Imam who follows the path of the straight way and follows the community of Muslims?

Understanding religious texts comes from the understanding of the Companions and those who followed them from among the diligent scholars, such as the four Imams. All of them were keen on spreading correct religious knowledge and were followers of the Sunnah. Error is possible even from the Companions, and the matters that are followed legally are those for which there is evidence. It is permissible for the questioner to follow one of the Imams in matters for which there is clear and sound evidence, without fanaticism. It is not permissible to believe in the obligation of following anyone other than the Prophet in everything he says. And whoever is unable to examine the evidence should imitate one whom he trusts in his religion and knowledge among the scholars.
