The best of stories are those found in the Noble Qur'an, because they contain truth, eloquent expression, splendid meanings, and lessons for people of understanding. It is recommended to read Qur'anic and prophetic stories, as well as stories of the prophets, the Companions, and people of virtue and righteousness. Among contemporary books in this field are: "Pictures from the Lives of the Companions and the Tabi'in" by Abd al-Rahman al-Basha, and "Stories from the Qur'an, Prophets, and Companions of the Messenger" by Mahmoud al-Misri.
