Is a traveler to Milan for three months required to fast, and if he breaks his fast, what must he make up?

Whoever intends to reside in a place for more than four days is considered a resident and is obligated to fast and complete the prayer. The journey that permits concessions is what is conventionally considered a journey, and its distance is estimated to be approximately eighty kilometers. If a traveler intends to reside in a town for more than four days, they do not avail themselves of the concessions of travel. If they intend to reside for four days or less, they do avail themselves of the concessions. As for someone who is residing and does not know when their need will be fulfilled, they may avail themselves of the concessions of travel, even if the duration is long. Therefore, fasting Ramadan (definition) and completing the prayer are obligatory during this period, unless the traveler moves from one city to another with a qualifying distance between them, in which case they are permitted to break the fast, combine prayers, and shorten them.
