I missed the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, so how can I make up for what I missed?
One must promptly make up missed prayers at any time, and it is not permissible to delay them once remembered, due to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps through it, let him pray it when he remembers it; there is no expiation for it except that." If the prayers were missed due to negligence, then one must perform sincere repentance and diligently observe them at their prescribed times, for prayer "has been enjoined upon the believers at fixed times." Neglecting them by delaying them beyond their time incurs severe warning, as stated in Allah’s (the Most High) saying: "Then, there succeeded them a generation who neglected prayers and pursued desires; so, they are going to meet Ghayy" and His saying: "So woe to those who pray, [but] who are heedless of their prayers." Repentance erases sins, "Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous deeds; for those will enter Paradise and will not be wronged in aught."
