Is it permissible to interrupt the invocations (adhkar) of prayer to perform other invocations, such as those for leaving the mosque, getting into a car, or entering one's home, and then resume the invocations of prayer, or what is the ruling?

If a person engaged in dhikr (remembrance of Allah) during the prescribed salat (prayer) adhkar (plural of dhikr) encounters a dhikr that would be missed if its cause passes (such as repeating the adhan (definition), returning a greeting of salam, or the dhikr upon leaving the mosque), then he should perform this dhikr and then return to the salat adhkar he was engaged in. This combines the two benefits. This incidental dhikr does not invalidate the adhkar that preceded it, nor does it interrupt the glorifications. Scholars have clarified that a person engaged in dhikr should return a greeting of salam, say yarhamukallah to one who sneezes, respond to the mu'adhin, and remove an evil, then return to his dhikr.
