What is the ruling on feeding the poor from money designated for personal needs to fulfill an oath's expiation, and are the days the questioner fasted without feeding sufficient, and what should she do about the oath expiations for which she did not fast three consecutive days due to ignorance of their number, and must she repeat them?

The basic principle for an expiation of an oath is to feed ten poor people, or to clothe them, or to free a slave. If you are unable to do these three, then you must fast for three days, and it is not obligatory for these fasts to be consecutive. If you do not possess what you can use to feed the poor, then the fasts you performed for expiations are sufficient for you. It is obligatory for you to expiate for the remaining oaths. If you find what you can use to feed or clothe ten poor people, then that becomes obligatory for you. Otherwise, fast for three days for each oath, and it is more prudent for them to be consecutive.
