Is it necessary to re-perform the ghusl of janabah if semen continues to be discharged after the ritual bath?

The more cautious approach is to perform another ghusl (ritual bath) after the cessation of seminal discharge, due to the difference of opinion among scholars on this issue. Some scholars hold that repeating the ghusl is not obligatory because it is a remnant of the initial semen. The Shafi'is, however, maintain that repeating the ghusl is obligatory, while the Hanafis have a detailed explanation.
