Does an additional expiation become obligatory for one who breaks his oath a second time, after having already expiated for the first oath in the same month?
The expiation (kaffarah) is repeated with the repetition of breaking the oath if the oath necessitates repetition, either by its wording, the intention of its maker, or by custom. Among the wordings that necessitate repetition are the phrases: "every time that" (كلما), and "every time" (كل مرة). The expiation for an oath is feeding ten poor people, or clothing them, or freeing a slave; and whoever cannot find [the means] should fast for three days.
