Would a girl agree to marry a young man who is righteous, well-mannered, and an imam of a mosque, but suffers from severe retinal detachment?

The Law (Shari'a) encourages accepting a man of good character and religious commitment as a husband, based on the hadith: "If someone whose character and religious commitment you approve comes to you, then marry him." This is because such a man is more likely to fear God in his treatment of his wife and to treat her well. The fact that a young man suffers from an eye disease does not legally (shar'an) prevent his acceptance. However, the woman is not obligated to agree, as the command in the aforementioned hadith is for strong recommendation, not for obligation. It is the woman's right to seek the man who possesses the qualities she desires, and the decision is left to her after consultation and seeking guidance from God (istikharah).
