Is one who strives to memorize the Quran in order to receive a reward or to motivate himself sinful, knowing that people are awaiting his completion of it? And is the completion of the Quran considered valid for someone who suffers from weakness in memorization and forgetfulness?

Gifts and prizes for encouraging the memorization of the Holy Quran or the pursuit of beneficial knowledge are permissible, as they are a means to achieve a noble, legitimate goal. However, learning the Quran must be sincerely for the sake of Allah alone, not merely for the reward. For whoever learns knowledge seeking worldly gain, learning it only to acquire a worldly عرض ( عرض here means a temporary worldly possession or gain), will not smell the fragrance of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection. However, one who seeks Allah's pleasure through their knowledge and subsequently receives a worldly benefit is not included in this warning. There is no harm in memorizing the Quran and seeking knowledge with a sincere intention for the sake of Allah, and any worldly benefits that result from that are permissible, as long as they are not the primary motive. It must be noted that lying to motivate oneself is impermissible, as lying is unbecoming of a believer and leads to wickedness.
