Is it permissible to apply for asylum in Europe by lying and exploiting confidential work-related information, knowing that its disclosure will not harm anyone but will facilitate obtaining asylum, due to the poor security and health conditions in Iraq?

Lying is forbidden except out of necessity or pressing need. If the security and health conditions are very poor, reaching the level of necessity, and one finds no other means to remove harm from themselves and their family, then there is no blame upon them in seeking political asylum in the manner mentioned. However, if it is possible to use equivocation (تعريض) and circumlocution (تورية), then outright lying is not permissible. Similarly, using information is permissible if its disclosure harms no one. All of this is conditional upon the permissibility of residing in the European country, provided that one feels secure from temptation and is able to observe the rituals of their religion. It is also permissible for them to accept financial aid if they meet the eligibility criteria of that country.
