What is the ruling on listening to anasheed (Islamic vocal music) that has no instrumental accompaniment and does not call to anything forbidden, during the daytime in Ramadan?

It is permissible to listen to anasheed (Islamic vocalizations) that are free of musical instruments or any call to the forbidden, and the proof for this is the Prophet's — peace and blessings be upon him — listening to the anasheed of the Companions, such as: "We are those who pledged allegiance to Muhammad for jihad as long as we live." However, listening to the Qur’an is superior due to the mercy and guidance it contains.
