Is it permissible for a father to favor some of his children with gifts over others based on their righteousness and assistance to him, while there are daughters who received nothing?

Contentious issues between children related to gifts or inheritance require hearing all parties and referring the matter to the Sharia court. A parent must be just in their gifting to their children, and it is not permissible to favor some over others except for a legitimate reason, such as need, disability, large family size, dedication to seeking knowledge, or if the child is impious or would spend the gift on sinful acts. If the land is a bequest and not a gift, it is a bequest to an heir which is not enforceable unless the deprived heirs consent.
