How old was the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he married for the second time after the death of Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), and how long was the period during which he abstained from marriage?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married Sawda bint Zam'a, may Allah be pleased with her, when he was fifty years old. This was after the death of her husband, Al-Sakran, in Abyssinia, and in Shawwal of the tenth year of prophethood, which was approximately one month after the death of his first wife, Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her.
