What is the ruling on digging up the graves of Christians and taking the jewelry from the hands of their dead?

It is not permissible to exhume the graves of the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) to seek money or for any other reason, because their graves possess sanctity. Any money found therein, whose owner is unknown, is subject to the rulings of lost property (Luqata).
